Aye. Seventeen wrongs make a right I suppose, I couldn't work that one out either
  • Watched to the end of the 3rd quarter, but regret not staying to the end.

Really good game, but I’d hoped the Bengals would win.

  • That half time show was really something.

Dre on a piano had me feeling very strange.

I'm still great and you still love it.
  • Dre looked like he was absolutely loving it. But then thought he probably hasn't performed live for about 20 years by this point.

Watched the 1st half. Early start for me this morning. Was enjoying it and went to bed thinking the Rams might edge it as they looked more in control.

Pity though. I was rooting for the Bengals.

Superbowls aren't always a great game but this looks like it was. Have the 2nd half recorded.

The half time show never does it for me, but I'll probably check it out.

I haven't watched much NFL of late. Used to be a Sunday ritual for me with Channel 4's great coverage in the 80s.  I remember Eric Dickerson playing for the Rams  (!)  The days of Montana and Marino as QB's, Big John Riggins as running back for the Redskins. Marcus Allen for the Raiders and Walter Payton for the Bears.  :)

Washington had hell of a team back then. Can’t believe it’s been 30 years since the last championship win :(

Yeah - I liked the Redskins back then. Sort of supported them. I remember the Raiders caning them in the 1984 Superbowl. Stopped them getting back to back superbowls.

I can’t decide if that’s better, or worse than Washington Football Team.

    The logo is boring too.

What a great Super Bowl. Initially I was a bit underwhelmed by the very tight man marking which meant plays weren’t coming but when Cin came out in the second half (great HT show btw) and opened the game up I woke up a lot.

Gotta feel sorry for Cincinnati as it would have been a great underdog story and Burrows made some excellent plays but LA’s defense really saved the day with Donald.

I had a Monk 81 shirt as a kid. Riggins, Monk, Green etc such great players.

At least the name change was worthwhile this time. Although it is bizarre that both Washington teams have had to change.

Bullets to wizards isn't great either.

    Absolutely.

Exeter Chiefs rugby union team has recently changed their logo, for a similar reason.

  • Bengals will be back there pretty soon I reckon, a young team who are working well. Rams won't be back for a while... Targeted trades just to make sure they were in the superbowl in their own town.

And the Lativian gang banger is off to the wiz.
I missed that one. Hard to be impressed by that after his spell alongside Doncic, but he should still be an excellent trade.
for whom? I dont think theres anything left

    He's still young(ish), 7ft, and can shoot 3s.
And around Doncic, he didn't get to do much of what he was expected to do (esp rebounding)

Good bigs seem hard to find. If he's healthy, he can probably still be good for low doubles of the bench. Might even turn into more than that.

Funnily enough though, he's injured now, right?

Excellent perimeter defender. Was hoping we'd get him, but the Celts are a better team for him.

  • Grant Williams has been our breakout star, 44.6% from three.
When he was drafted he had high iq, good d but just too small for center and not athletic enough for the wing.  This is his third year and last season it looked like he would get moved somewhere to loosen a little cap space, now he's invaluable 3 & D guy on a rookie contract.

My point is you can never really tell how a player will develop
