Tbf, certain people have a morbid curiosity / compulsion. I watched the Wellington shooting, or bits of it. It fucking destroyed me, but at least there was no sound playing for me. Hope Scot is ok, that shit can trigger very bad mental health in my case.

And for that reason, I know not to click watch.

But that said, watching does make you acknowledge the full spectrum of the atrocity. Piles of bodies in the case of the NZ shooting. Someone rushing him and coming so so so close to disarming him. The fucking horror of it. Hard to watch that and then do some chin stroking and say "but Islam was built on war" or "society has come a long way, black people have had equality" or "look at this graph, it's science"

I don't know about BA specifically in recent years, but the experience at even club and state level for black players had been a very mixed bag over the years, so it could have been plausible.

I didn't know there had been a shooting that day either. I don't watch morbid videos because I get flashbacks weeks after but like I say I never knew what it was.

Agreed, it somewhat feels like a culture wars 'whataboutism' article from the editors. Compared to what Shell has done to the region the Chinese racism videos are relatively small fry.
