What do people think of the Trials capture mode after a couple of days? I'm not sure the choice of map helps, but I'd much rather have pure elimination back.
I mean, I'm sure the stats will show that there are less blow-out games with the moving capture point, but the campy "well and baricade" playstyle it's encouraging makes the game feel pretty frustrating to play. For me at least.
People have to accept it if they enjoy the game and wanna keep playing. No choice. I'll still be here and I get their reasons, but I'll always criticise content removal.
I actually thought if anywhere was gonna go it'd be the EDZ, seeing as there's little active content there. Ditching Forsaken makes sense in regards to tidying up the story, though. Absolutely not happy about it, but I can see why they chose to hand the players this particular shit sandwich.
My money's now on the EDZ to go away with Lightfall.
Had some time off after the seasonal quest stalled, but I've been back on recently doing old content with some friends who've got back in to it. For all it's faults Destiny will never not feel amazing to play.
Jumped in early last night for the Anniversary goings on expecting the usual server meltdown, but had no issues. No one playing atm eh? Anyway, it all seems fine so far. I kinda like the activity, love Xur's horse, the Halo themed weapons, the new mods, and the sandbox changes.
The Forerunner sidearm is perhaps the best thing so far. The full-fat Halo CE Magnum in D2? Hell yeah!
Haven't tried the Dungeon yet but will try and get to it over the weekend. There does seem like a decent amount there overall, but I really think the Dungeon should have been a free addition. A celebration of the last 7 years for everyone, not just those with another £23 to throw at Bungo.
Seen you on alright, you playing with Woodi? Played a lot of WoW and Street Fighter back in the day with him. The new content and anniversary stuff looks good but I am enjoying Halo Infinite's multiplayer at the moment and the campaign is dropping tonight. Just bad timing for me where I'm not really willing to sacrifice Halo for Destiny at the moment. I suspect I might try some things out in January. This season on Destiny though has been my least played so far, I think (although it isn't bad or anything) I just kinda don't gel with the seasonal model any more, in reality I'd much prefer one DLC per year and one expansion.
@Haak Yeah Woodi's back on Destiny after a long break, the Forsaken campaign was the last thing he played. Such a great guy, and he's mentioned your old WoW and SF days, even linked me to a couple of old MM vids.
We all need to play some D2 when you do jump back in!
