Only managed an hour of Rollerdrome in the end, but yeah it does make a fantastic first impression. The movement and action feel great and the whole package drips style.
Can see myself bouncing between this and Sifu for a while, if Returnal doesn't drag me from both that is.
FFS looks like I managed to add the "demo" version of Man of Medan to my library last month, not the full version, while it was on PS+. So now I don't own it. Which is a bit annoying as I was about to try to play it.
I have to stay, the store UI has got markedly worse with the new PS+ tiers. It seems every game has a different set of options between buy, add to wishlist, upgrade to extra, upgrade to premium to get a trial, etc. Far worse UX than it was before. Which I hope to use as ammunition to get it retro-added to my account. If I could actually get hold of anyone from PSN Support...
Classic Muzzy. Enjoy the 40 minutes of it you actually do play.
The store is a bit messy though. The filter system for is weak and there's still a game in the Extra section I want to download but I can't, because it tries to charge me (one of the Gunvolts). At leat it's responsive and doesn't hang for ages like the PS4 one.
I know it's supposed to go slightly south deeper in but the first hour of Rollerdrome is an absolute treat. Very much loving it so far, even the Hawks style checklist gating works for me (and if eventually it doesn't, I can just turn progression requirements off off I think). Don't write it off just yet Gav...
I've only managed to put a couple of hours into Rollerdrome myself, but still loving it. Shit, even if it does screw things up later on this is the kinda game where I'll repeatedly come back and replay earlier levels just for the fun of it.
I beat a pretty good boss last night and the next couple of stages felt like a step up, even just to arena clear. I only ticked one item off the checklist on the last stage I finished. I'm worried there won't be any room to breathe at all in the final stages but it's a hugely satisfying skater/shooter hybrid up to this point.
Rollerdrome done. It's my sort of game, glad I bought it but unsure if it's a low 8 or a high 7. Gets way too busy in the final third. Was hoping to report differently but nope. Goes down as another good'un from Roll7 though.
