Me too, although the final part is probably the most fun to play because by this point, you're proficient with all your weapons and it feels like some what of a sand box.

The more shooting and killing bad guys. Think they could have done something different at the end. Could still have that moment with Abbey but avoiding the shooting up another complex. Not sure what that would be.

For example, I liked how the end of God of War (2018) subverted your expectations and made the ending actually a quiet reflective moment.

Yes to the first sentence in the spoiler in particular. Was a perfect of example of Do Not Want giving a greater payoff than what most players would choose. The whole thing was a grim conveyor belt leading up to that moment.

Yup, they really force you through the worst moments, even if you don't want to do it.

That end really reinforced how much this was more a story/movie where you press buttons. It would have been nice to have an actual choice, ruined it a little for me, but I tell myself that I'm 'playing' someone's else's story and not making my own so it's fine.

I still think it should've ended in the theater with a long cutscene. Twenty minutes of thrashing it out verbally and physically with no player input. I didn't wanna control either at that point. I've followed your story, now you finish it and set up a third if that's the plan.

Anyway, all thing's considered, it's right at the top of my GOAT list.
