Obviously beatable but I reckon -10 is the best without some hot chip ins. (Was my first go and I think I did get one nice chip in just to make birdie)
That's my three shots. -7, -7 and a squeaky bum -9 that was agonisingly close to a -10 for an eagle putt right at the end that rolled around the lip. Got a photo will upload later. Gutted that I didn't adjust my strategy for a particular hole until the final attempt.
Thanks for organising Moot. I haven't played this much but I'll definitely be doing comp. I'll fight Gav for wooden spoon.
I'm a fan of one-shot only for the tournament as it adds pressure but I don't mind conceding to popular opinion. I do think 3 attempts will mean most people have the same score though. Can see that already with you and crayon getting the same even though you'd be 2 off if you had only one go. We'll see!
I had a hole that was wet/windy/raining on my first attempt. Will see if that particular random element can be removed from next week but it may not be possible.
Practice round playing with the kids. Third time playing this course and the kids keep taking my shots for me as they pass the controller, often aiming straight into a tree or bunker.
This is not going well
Not everything is The Best or Shit. Theres many levels between that, lets just enjoy stuff.
As much as I like the core golf mechanics in this game the whole thing has left me a bit underwhelmed. The courses are fine though completely unambitious, the presentation is kinda weak, there's no weekly tournaments like in the 3DS one, no challenges, nothing fancy to unlock (other than grinding for clubs). It's skeletal. Speed golf is awful, it's hilariously slower than normal golf. Story mode is also pure shite. It's a [6] tops. Saying that I've have played multiplayer a fair bit, but it feels very low effort.
The point of speed golf is to have the bit between shots be important. On a hole by hole basis you can have an objective measure of who played the hole better.
