I dunno if he's been adjusted since I got him last time. Torrent disappears really quickly if I'm close to him. The summons seem to do more damage, but don't last as long. Arrrgggggh
Yeah, last night Torrent would disappear if I was going too close. I could hit him at spell range but if I moved closer for a drive-by slash I'd be on my own two feet. Thought maybe there was AoE damage killing Torrent, but I wasn't getting hit every time. Doesn't matter now, anyway.
Were you using quick resume? It's prob not helpful to mention now but it's long been recommended to always save and quit at the of each session rather than leave the game running in quick resume...especially if you're playing online
That's true for all the Souls games. Always save and quit, or risk losing a load of progress. I got a corrupted save on Bloodborne and lost the whole save. I was at the last boss of the game and had to go back to the very start. That was shit.
For the last week I was quick resuming every night but I'm 99% certain I fucking saved and quit at least a couple of times, especially after getting to the Capital.
Gnnnnnn.
I love the game, I really do. But I don't want to redo all of that stuff right now...
Actually Bloodborne was probably overall hardest. Only some of the bosses were mega tough on Sekiro otherwise it was ok. Bloodborne was just relentless. It’s also second best.
I gave up at that fucking headless monkey bastard. Just couldn't do it. I really struggled with some of the previous ones too - the ghost monk and the cunt at the top of the pagoda. Even though I finally beat them it felt as if it was just pushing the Souls idea of repeat and repeat a bit too far.
It’s an improvement on Dark Souls, but still different though. Sekiro is just a different style of game so can’t really compare. Bloodborne also feels different but not that much. That’s my view.
Sekiro and Elden Ring are completely different ends of the Souls style - Sekiro is super tight but restrictive. Elden Ring is expansive but a bit janky.
