I only ever knew about the one way, but the summon sign won't appear unless you've done a certain side quest. The fight was immensely easier with the help. That bastard fucked me up so many times before that.
Got to the second fire in the Haligtree.
Spoiler:
Fell off, knocked off, jumped off the tree many times. Ganked by the spells, the ants, the rot flowers... I collected and lost so, so many runes.
That trumpet tone. That noise burrowed into my head.
But nice to start getting back into it. I need to not default to panic dodging and then Melania (?) should be a piece of piss ....
I'm lvl 134 I think. I know people beat the game on less but I like exploring every nook and cranny. Did a bit of farming at the beginning for a headstart...
Back into this. I've had it over a year and still not beaten it. I made it to the consecrated snowfields yesterday and shat myself many times since. I think the overworld map is fully uncovered now?
My god, it's still the best game I've ever played. I'm not great at it - lvl 151 and still get sweaty palms and panicky in dungeons.
Art books out later this year - will be grabbing those.
It's so damn good, my all-time favourite game as well. I jumped back in to one of my NG++++ runs the other night after a few months away and it felt like putting on an old pair of slippers. Pure comfort gaming. Got the second part of the strategy guide and the two art books pre-ordered on Amazon, due to arrive August and September by the looks of it. Fingers crossed we'll have heard something about the DLC by then.
I'm waiting for the DLC before heading into it again. Probably my GOAT. I never got bored of it at any moment during the almost 200 hours I put into it.
Tip for Ordina just in case the pain gets too much:
Spoiler:
Buy and equip the Sentry's Torch from the Hermit Merchant's shack just inside the norther outer walls of Leyndell. This will allow you to see the invisi-fucks as soon as they enter it's range. For an extra tip, while it's in your off-hand, double hand your main weapon. This will swap the torch to your back but allow its effect to continue while also allowing you to use your weapon's ash of war. For the cunt archers - just be fast.
