nick_md wrote:Aye that's what we've done, things still dripping somewhat even though we turned the water off when we got in (well, I turned it off after realising mum had opened the stopcock fully not knowing which way is on and which is off, then saw her filling the kettle blasting water out full pelt from the tap, ffs mum). Bloke coming round tomorrow morning.

LivDiv wrote:Deck the HallsMid-tier Xmas movie thats worth a watch if you fancy something perhaps not watched before but still very much a xmas movie.
Danny DeVito and Matthew Broderick become feuding neighbours after Devito moves in across the street then decides to create a xmas light display that can be seen from space.
It doesn't quite live up to its cast and plot but there are some laughs, DeVito's smoking stepford wife and xmas redemption vibes.
Broderick is the mostly unlikable neighbour so that works given how unlikable Broderick tends to be since switching from confident teenager to adult who killed someone.
A good deal of amusement comes from Devito crossing over into Frank Reynolds, a part that would appear on screens not long after this movie. There is a real sense that if the script and production team would have allowed/come up with it Devito would have gone whole (wart)hog.
