Or, we could also use the Gnarvana portal and make a level we all try based off their easy to follow choosable criteria.
Also, did not know this had a photo mode! But unfortunately, it only really pauses the game and doesn't offer any kind of camera movement. If you could get in there and rotate around the world a little would be nice.
And my word, what a level. Couple of jumps that feel ridiculously hard, needing millisecond timing to give you the required momentum and arc. Hmph. I'll bag it tomorrow.
Then into... *gulp*... Final zone local hero high scores.
Full disclosure: I've so far played two levels. So there's a wee bit of extrapolation on my zealous overconfidence, but I'm 99% sure I'll at least rek moot
Olli Olli gets to the point where your fingers and thumbs are moving so fast you don't even have time to think about what you're doing it's just all instinct
You can get by with the basic combos but there's so much depth to every trick opportunity if you want it
I'm struggling to make a dent in the tutorials right now, it's great and the tutorials are all well structured it's just that I've constantly got 2 five year olds bouncing on the sofa "I want a go dad!! Can I try?! I want to try!! When can I have a go dad??"
Or I've got a 2 month old baby in my arms when they have gone to bed and he won't let focus for more than 15 seconds before he yells or pukes milk on me.
I tried to play last night when my wife took him to bed but fell asleep within minutes.
Ah well
Not everything is The Best or Shit. Theres many levels between that, lets just enjoy stuff.
I can't even finish the first level in the final world without using checkpoints so I'm gonna be at this for a while racking up LH scores. May now just use the portal to generate levels to keep my skills sharp. Can be a bit of a mental test retrying the same bit over and over and over and over.
Void Riders is good. Switch folk might be interested to know that they seem to have patched out the frame drops/stutters that took the shine off the OG release. Can't confirm 100% but it hasn't happened once since I started the dlc.
Final "world" reached last night. That feeling of, after god knows how many tries, nailing a no checkpoint run in these later levels is unmatched. Dropped a milly combo on one, touch me.
I rarely manage to outright buy anything with gold points on Switch because I'm always spending them, but today I bagged Into the Flowzone with all my Nintendo Clubcard points and I feel like a king. 20% off rn if anyone's interested.
