My regular Blood Bowl game was cancelled.
I had to brush the snow off my car before going to the super market. To add insult to injury I had to drive slightly slower than usual and put my headlights on.
For those with an open mind, wonders always await! - Kilton (monster enthusiast)
Started snowing for us in the early hours of the morning and hasn't stopped. It rained for a few hours before though, so the roads are just a slushy mess. If it freezes overnight, I might work from home tomorrow.
Last night the forecast said that the warmest it will get in Ellon today is -2°C, feeling like -6°C, but I believe we’ve made it as far as a balmy 2°C.
It would be a bit weird if I went out to build a snowman.
Candy’s reaction to it is pretty awesome. When I open the door to let her out, she’s like, “Fuck that noise, it’s cold and feels weird on my paws.” Then, after a moment, she decides it’s the best thing ever, and runs around at top speed with a crazed look in her eyes, on a mission to find out what everything in the whole world looks/smells like under a few inches of snow.
Then she’s straight back to, “Fuck this noise, it’s cold and feels weird on my paws,” and is heading back to the door. Fucking nutter.
It’s been snowing since the early hours of the morning here in oxford and it hasn’t stopped at all.
I had to drive to the gym a few towns over this morning to teach a boxercise class at 9am, the roads hadn’t been gritted and it was so dangerous with morons seemingly having no clue about how to drive in the snow.
Someone had an accident on the A34 exit sliproad on the way home and we all had to be diverted down the country lanes. Pretty much fresh snow down there and very challenging to see what was road and what was ditch.
Nearly binned it twice!
However made it home an hour or so later than planned, put the boys in the baby carriers and took them for a trip to the local cafe so they could experience their first snow day!
They bloody loved it.
Not everything is The Best or Shit. Theres many levels between that, lets just enjoy stuff.
It's amazing how people drive in this.
Saw someone nearly get run over on the crossing outside my place.
The car was going way too fast for the conditions, they just locked up and slid.
