Well here it is.

Marvel Snap is a phone a App and PC app game that is a card game based on all those people you are fed up of seeing at the Box office.

How does it work?

I am glad you asked Edge forumite from 2006.

There are three areas you can drop cards,called "lanes"

You can drop cards that have different effects often classed onto "on reveal" aka when that card drops, or "on going" meaning no matter what happens next this card keeps doing its thing.

SHOCK there are cards like cheeky cosmo that stop on reveal from happening.

The game is decided by whoever has most power (points) at the end of 6 rounds, across three areas. If there is a tie on areas, the point differential comes into place. There can be Ties!

That's not how it works is it? It's not who has the most power across three areas, it's who holds more areas.

Tie breaks are based on who has the most overall power.

Yeah but the winner outside of tie isn't who has the most power.

The fact that a game of this quality is free and has absolutely no adverts is the reason why I've spent actual money on it. I love the OTA and season update stuff too, really great engagement from the Devs.

Err. Yes it is. If you tie in two lanes each, it's decided on who has the most total power, which is why Mojoworld can be such a pain in the arse.

I was lucky enough to get Galactus and Thanos in normal drops and they're my current set. I had been pumping some normals before the High Evolutionary dropped and also an On Reveal deck. However the Thanos set is giving me too many wins (+2 quits) at present with the fear of thanos. Ibalsobhave green goblin, nebula and lockjaw in that deck

Good on you for being brave enough to come in. Thus is a live game with weird meta updates (spiderman moved to 5,4 to counter the galactus!) So it's a much more nerd game than Sts

Outside of a tie?

I may be wrong, I'm not a hardcore player, but I thought it was who holds 2/3 lanes at the end? So for e.g. you could hold one lane with loads of power in that lane, but the opponent holds two with less total power than your stack in the lane you've won, so you'd lose?

My current favourites are a Move deck (which pretty much got me to level 70 in 4 days this week), No Power, Destroy (with Wave and Nimrod), Surfer and a cheeky Cerebro-3 deck.

My move deck us great because people still don't think it would happen. Dropping a big Heindell on a vulture and Dagger is so satisfying.

4989 here. Move decks really confuse other players, they're really hard to predict. If you get Human Torch early and an upgraded Multiple Man (with Hulk Buster) they're pretty great.

Also like playing a high stakes discard deck with MODOK and a load of high value cards and the hope that Hela comes up
