On 3 July 2013, Mallard and its five surviving sister A4 locomotives will mark the calendar anniversary of Mallard's record-breaking run with a spectacular international family reunion to fulfil the dreams of rail fans across the globe.
The three operational A4s, Sir Nigel Gresley, Union of South Africa and Bittern will be taking a two-week break from rail tours around the UK to help us celebrate the 75th anniversary in style. They will join Dwight D. Eisenhower, Dominion of Canada and the star of the show Mallard which will be on display at York from late spring.
All six streamlined steam giants will be gathered together around the Great Hall turntable at York.
