This was the game that I always thought would get me to pull the trigger on buying a ps4. Like a few of you I'm having some second thoughts though. I still think it looks great - but 40 hours of it I'm not so sure about...

Everybody's Gone To The Rapture with line puzzles essentially.
After a couple of hours this essentially sums it up. I've not been bored but it is a very sedate pace, I like a walk em up/explore em up though and this is very pretty with lots of places that are tantalizingly close but no idea how to get to them yet. Not sure how I'll feel after 40 hours though.
And despite all the whinging about it not receiving 10s all round (ffs...), every review I've read so far, have it down as being one of the largest and most complete puzzle games yet made...
And I was looking forward to that.
I think this game will come to mean more in time...

A random aside (I have a tendency)... I secretly use Twitch viewing numbers to supplement review scores...
Did you see how little the new Homeworld game was played?

Started this at about 9pm, just stopped now. Initially wasn't that wowed - seemed like lots of wandering around solving mildly vexing line puzzles. I have revised my initial opinion - I mean, it is wondering around solving lots of (sometimes incredibly) vexing line puzzles - but it turns out they're a hell of a lot more versatile than previously imagined.
I've had several smug Eureka moments in the playtime already, as well as quite a few things that left me utterly perplexed, for now at least.
Spoilered, but still vague, highlights so far...
Spoiler:
Lasers! (Three so far)
The sun
BBC
Solving the third hedge maze
Finally giving up on looking for a complicated solution to one particular puzzle and realising it was really easy..
I've no idea yet if it's worth the cash, but I'm impressed by how vast it seems - there's plenty of the island I've not even begun to explore.
So yeah, after an iffy first hour, I'm really enjoying it. For now though, bed.
Not going to read or watch anymore about it having just started it. But guessing it slowly builds on complexity with the sense of achievement coming in the latter puzzles.
What I really like about it so far is the lack of mini cut scenes showing what you have changed. If they had put that in I think I'd be well pissed off as it is I like everything about it at the moment. Though half of what I paid seems like the right value.
