No. I really don't see what's special about it.stonechalice wrote:Come again? You are joking right? Probably the most memorable show to come out in years...JonB wrote:Yeah, I thought it was decent, but nowhere near as clever as it needed to be to get away with it. Instantly forgettable too.
As I said in TV thread, I've also watched S1 of House of Cards, The Americans, and Ray Donovan recently, and although they've got their own flaws, I found them all more engaging and memorable than TD.Dark Soldier wrote:What are your examples of memorable tv Jon? Genuinely interested.

The writing in TD was clumsy and lacked subtlety in comparison. A more skillful show would've conveyed these characters with less talk (which all those other shows manage). The depth is a fake created by having them talk philosophy and religion, but it's too shoehorned in and too sixth form, so they don't get away with it. Matt McC's character in particular is really poor and it's too his credit that he makes it tolerable at all. On top of that, the case itself isn't important or disturbing enough to explain their reaction to it, so it doesn't really work from the start.Dark Soldier wrote:What are your examples of memorable tv Jon?
