@TheDJR Cracking stuff, so glad you're enjoying it!
Played much comp with the lovely lot that are Prankster, Tred, SlimJim, Stratosfear, and Geachster tonight.
We did just fine, won way more than we lost and I climbed back to platinum so I'm proper chuffed. We had an awesome little win streak in there of three or four games where our stonewall defence stopped the opposition from capping the first point or getting the payload to the first checkpoint, and then our maximum damage attack pushed in to take victory in no time flat.
I'd rather not talk about that last KotH though. But hey, you can't win 'em all.
Myself, Lizzie, Scantaki, and Timmie had a nice win streak going, then the Tracer that carried us got moved to the other team after Warno joined our group (but not the chat) and we lost badly.
Fingers crossed for a Christmas tree in place of the statue in a heavily dressed square. This might just fill the hole in my heart left by Halloween Hollywood's farewell.
Tough night in comp last night. It started okay with a nice few wins but then the losses started to pile up, I had a few bad games and I know others did too. Gained 60 rank and lost 100. Oh well, it'll be better next time I'm sure.
I'm playing Comp with Federal Steak and his MMR is making it a joke. People happily not playing with a healer all game long, comps with Widow, Hanzo & Torb?!!?
Sounds rough, Tiger. What was your combined group level outa interest? The only genuinely poor games I've had so far have been at a low gold group level.
And I gotta say, from what I've played of s3 the current MMR based placements seem to have done a grand job of improving the quality of games at high gold and platinum level in general. On PS4 at least. In s2 it wasn't til we hit mid plat group levels that games started to feel really good.
Played some more Tracer last night, and toyed with a Reinhardt who tried to run at me swinging the hammer. Just kept blinking behind him, and this guys sensitivity must have been set pretty low, because it took him forever to turn around.
