The shameful vandalism of the state seen since then makes anything look good in comparison tbf.

Boris Johnson is to go on trial for allegedly “lying and misleading the British public” about the consequences of Brexit.
A judge summonsed the Conservative MP to appear in court after a man brought a private prosecution over claims that the cost of EU membership was £350m a week.

That sounds suspiscously foreign. Like Germanic French.
I certainly would never trust him with Brexit.

Deeply sinister that Brexiteers like @BorisJohnson face being dragged into court. EU supporters falsely claimed that a leave vote would collapse the economy. No action being taken against them..
Yeah. I have no idea obviously, but he had to add a lot of qualifications to the 350m figure during the campaign, when pressured in interviews and the like. I doubt you can get anything on him for it. But I'm glad he doesn't just get to forget about it and move on. It will hang over him for a while yet while he's supposed to be reaching out to people to put the divisions behind them.poprock wrote:Ideally, there is a brief trend for this sort of thing and it leads to a raising of standards amongst British politicians. Can’t imagine that actually happening though.
