Like I won't have to restart the machine or game or anything? Does it even pause the game? I really, really like that idea if it's done seamlessly. I want this thing but for under £300 with Zelda please. I reckon it will be £270 by Christmas.

Twice the price of a 3DS though.Eric wrote:Similar to the Guardian? https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2017/jan/23/nintendo-switch-its-a-handheld-first-not-a-consoleMinkymu wrote:Nice positive article on how we should stop comparing the switch to the Wii and WiiU by Gamesradar
This article is almost Trumpian in its contradiction of the truth.Minkymu wrote:

no Amiibo bullshit.

Nintendo have been releasing games to show off the uniqueness of their controllers since the N64, granted I'm not interested in 1-2 Switch or the motion controls at all tbh but 1-2 Switch is exactly what I expect from them in regards to showing off the Joy-Cons and their apparent amazing HD Rumble. Something I have no doubt will become an industry standard.

This can be played with standard controls
no hardcore push for third-parties to build their games around gimmicksNot sure how EA are being forced to use a gimmick? All a 3rd party has to do is create a game with bog standard controls and the system seamlessly takes care of the home/handheld transition. Motion controls are completely optional. Now Wii motion and Wii U Gamepad... that's forcing a gimmick on 3rd parties.EA wrote:It will deliver the FIFA experience custom built for Nintendo Switch…so you can play anywhere, play with anyone, and play how you want to play.
no Amiibo bullshit. There was amiibo bullshit on Wii U, I didn't buy one then and I won't be getting them for this. They're completely pointless bullshit that in no way effects us if we choose to ignore it.IGN wrote:The Nintendo Switch home gaming system will "absolutely" support amiibo for compatible Nintendo Switch games, Nintendo has confirmed to IGN.

Doesn't look comfortable granted but I'll leave judgement until I use one myself. Also I doubt I'll ever use it like this outside of being a cheap answer to multiplayer, which will make it a nice bonus.
