Those ones are really difficult to avoid bubbles. the glass ones cancel out bubbles just by the weight and rigidity of the thing itself.

Watching the Treehouse demo there and Arms really does look pretty good. Dismissed it as gimmicky but now I'm quite excited. Hope they do tournaments, free Splatoon-like updates. And btw for all you lot who've not played Splatoon before you're in for a real treat come summer.

There's a decent number of Switch owners already. Forum multiplayer looks bright.

Splatoon 2 could be huge.

I know a few of those are dead/dormant but basically Splatoon looks like it will become the biggest seller of their B tier library.

Its not Mario, DK, AC or Zelda but it looks like it'll prove to be a very important IP for them.

Btw, just look at poor Metroid there, no wonder they're shying away from it, it must be one of the more expensive games they make and those returns are risky.

Judging by the sales of the games there just isn't a big enough fanbase tbh.

I think we'll get one, but if it sells anything like Star Fox Zero then prepare for it to be retired along with F-Zero etc.

Then again they did fund the doomed Bayonetta 2 and Xenoblade can't be raking in the cash judging from sales/costs.

Xenoblade is an interesting one. For whatever it cost it effectively had somewhat of a paid beta role for zelda breath.

Nintendos holistic approach and size means it can do things that have ripple benefits over a long time.

Whilst I agree Star Fox sales haven't been great since the 64.

Assault just made it past 1M and Command only just above half a million, Zero is at about 400K and whilst the controls didn't help, neither did the fact it released on Wii U in 2016 when it was dead. At least Splatoon and its other success stories released when it was on life support.

Motion starfox could have been great (like if it was just the splatoon controls) but they over egged it a bit.

This. They're in a unique and enviable position which the naysayers never seem to understand. If I had a million pounds for everytime someone on here said Nintendo are finished I'd probably have enough money to buy a 1% stake.

I played a game just before you came on against random online, was me in Puyo vs them in Tetris. They seemed to be getting a lot of lines but I still won, thinking Puyo might have the edge in competitive games cos of the combos, maybe...
