Pisa is best done on a road trip. We were in Florence for a week, but had our car with us. So a day trip of Florence - Pisa (lunch) - La Spezia area (along the coasts, nice sunset) and back to Florence was very doable. Muzzy is right though, it's definitely worth just touring around the area. We mainly used air bnb, there was always some place to sleep.Unlikely wrote:acemuzzy wrote:Try Florence. And almost literally nothing else. It's a depressing place the second you leave the main road that connects the tower with the railway station.
