  • Is it so wrong that I couldn't get into P3P?

"Go to school and establish social links...get a part time job...join a sports club"

I did all this nearly 20 years ago, I can't be arsed again.

I'm sorry, I just don't get it. Battle system is pretty cool, slick presentation and funky choons, but...just feels like work rather than a game.
  • Nice one Davie!

Ver 1.8 is coming this summer with ps1 support, so its a good idea to grab some classics cheap! Most of my funds these days is spent rebuying psp games i already own, and converting save files to work with psn version. Only vita game ive got preordered is persona 4 for october. A remake.
  • Possible Spoiler but probably not

Just started playing Metal Gear HD and it does look good but are the controls shit or is it me ? Just can't get the hang of them especially the boss battle on the tanker with the woman - the aiming of your gun is shite

It's like that on the PS3 version too.
Just a case of getting used to the controls again.

  • I think there's probably enough games to warrant taking the plunge on a Vita now.. what with probably getting more time to game on it as well..

    Is this a reasonable bundle?

  • Game selection is poor. But generally that's a good value bundle.
Could do with more than 4gb for a mem card though

  • After a few games with Birdorf, I think it's fair to say that message play on Hustle Kings works really well. I need to get the Snooker pack though to give a bit more variation in the game types though.

One thing that might be of interest to some is that the game supports Killer. Can't remember how many players can play, but it might be a laugh to get a few involved. As long as everyone takes their shots that is.

I'm severely looking forward to getting The Pinball Arcade on Wednesday, anyone else getting it?
  • I'll probably get it eventually, I'm a sucker for pinball games although I am the world's worst at them

Was reading about it in either gamestm or edge, some quite lofty ambitions for the future of the game

Cheers Fella. I reasoned I'll probably get my £15 on Batman if I trade it.. So I've ordered! Can't really compain with 4gb when it's free.. presumably I can always pick up a bigger one at a later date if I start playing it a lot?

I may give you a run for the world's worst.

Looking forward to future DLC Creature from the Black Lagoon and Adams Family, two tables I was addicted to about 20 years ago. I'm expecting powerful memories to be evoked.

Some (low)hi-score competition would be most welcome if you get it.

@bob: Transferring is quite straightforward via PC or P3, if a little slow.

Its surprising how quick they can be filled, especially if you have a lot of games already for psp or minis and vita stuff.

Also there's a handy wee site called pspdlc.net or pspdlc.org with loads of movies and animations for download for free so I have 3 batman animations and jla too.

3rd place on stardust behind jim n a and shinji.

  • So I really want the Metal Gear Solid collection and Gravity Rush as essential purchases..

    What other essentials are there?
    The Forum Herald™
  • I only had a Vita for a few days as I couldn't cope with the chronic hand cramps - this appears to be just me as I don't know of anyone else who has complained. The best thing I played was Everybody's Golf. Wipeout looks fantastic, but it is just more Wipeout. I did not enjoy Uncharted at all.

I have an issue with trying to avoid touching the backplate in some games (MGS HD for knife thrusting, FIFA for shooting). But once I adopt the right position to avoid it I generally don't have a problem.

Motorstorm RC is essential for £4.79, it's tricky to get all golds though

    Everybody's Golf definitely

  • Hmm.. not perhaps the games-a-rama that I was expecting!!
    The Forum Herald™
  • Having had most of the big-hitters, I'd say Everybody's Golf, Super Stardust, Lumines, FIFA, WipEout and Virtua Tennis 4 are all top notch versions. Katamari's good if short, Ridge Racer is massively under-rated, now that there's a more reasonable number of tracks. Gravity Rush is very classy, Unit 13 is a nice shooter. About a Blob is a great fit for the machine. I couldn't get on with Motorstorm, but it's well-liked. Hustle Kings is really good.
  • Bob wrote:

There's a fuck-tonne of games. Most of them PSP unfortunately. The Vita titles there are range from Awful to Very good. There's plenty of choice, and more titles are coming. I remember the PS3 launch to be similar to this.

  • There's enough to keep me going through the summer but I was hoping for maybe a hidden gem .. Surprised there aren't more driving or FPSs games yet.
