Yeah this was the thing that swung it really. The status quo was a shambles. No ideas for the future just more cuts. The vote to a lot of people was like asking them whether they want things to stay shite or change somehow. Cameron had done the same ‘my way or chaos’ election schtick for the 2014 Scots ref, 2015 general election and then again for the EU ref. Both sides certainly had valid points to make but that wasn't done as far a I could see. The EU certainly needed changing - I would have preferred to stay in and change it but there we go.
Stay or leave - whatever the result - it would have been an uninformed decision. There was no plan for either outcome ether.
But - the political classes needed a serious shake up. Maybe Brexit and Trump were necessary then. Like catching the measles which was a rite of passage when I was a kid - part of growing up.
Pity our outcome was of a more permanent nature though.

I believe that a credible plan for indicating the EU's failings and engaging in a review would have been a good thing instead of scare-mongering. The belief of things not changing may have prompted many to vote for change.
