At this point finding the shrines is great, doing them I don't worry so much about.

    Exactly that.

I'm in no rush to clock this. But once I cover enough of the map to find the Master Sword, then I'll wrap it up.

I ain't clocking no Zelda, without no Master Sword...

After about 40 hours or so I though it to be time for a horse. Was actually having quite a bit of fun, letting the horse follow the road while you look around is a nice change of pace.
    Spoiler:

My main method of travelling so far has been climbing up (and waiting for the rain to stop), sliding down (love that animation), climbing up again and glide down if I see a point of interest. Than climb up again. I've hardly seen any main roads, had a nice walk with my horse along the river though. So it's a load of rocks I've seen so far. Trying to go from tower to tower to uncover the map a little bit, seen so many amazing things already and the few areas that are open are covered in yellow stamps. Fights that I need to do (want to collect some more hearts first), areas where I've heard the locator thing but haven't explored yet (mostly because I didn't feel like fighting and was running away) and just general things that need an extra look but couldn't figure out at the time.

Love it, I'm on my way to Death Mountain but there's already 3 or 4 other things that I want to do before arriving there.

Horses only spawn in certain areas, all of which are near stables. Go to any stable in a greenish area and you'll find some not far from there. Just avoid anywhere that's too hilly.

You'll need clothes for Death Mountain that are only available...

This game is really taking up most of my time at the moment. Most annoying thing is that B hasn't started yet (busy with dying a lot in Hollow Knight) and doesn't want spoilers, but there's just too many good stuff happening in the game.

Like that shrine in an area East of the map, while raining
    Spoiler:

My Death Mountain mission didn't go as planned either:
    Spoiler:

So I went to Hateno village, to check on one of the shrine quests, Three Cedars
    Spoiler:

Guess it's time to go for some shopping and retry Death Mountain, maybe go for the tower first this time, to get a sense of direction. If I fail again I'll just go for the remaining towers, still have a few to open up.

The thing that scares me most about this game is that even with the shrine indicator on, you can go for quite a while without hearing it. And there are so many hidden out there! Got 33 of them now I think, not been really hunting for them.

Thanks, haven't been to the place in Escape's spoiler yet so that figures, only got what the Old man gave me, and I actually knew what TheDaddy's spoiler mentions, think someone actually says this to you at some point. Must have headed in a different direction.

    Only problem with that is

I feel bad breaking it to you like this, but you could've left it lying there, stood back and enjoyed the fireworks, with no health damage. You didn't have to hold it.

    Nina's a Viking — that's the proper way. It's what @Roujin would've done.

Rods are a nuisance when you've few hearts, but there's a really easy way of killing them (which I've forgotten).

bomb or ice arrows after every time he fires.

Stay far and keep hitting him.

Read up on upgrading Stasis, do that and try again, and then give up if you can't finish him.
  • You don't need stasis. You need a slack handful of bomb arrows and he goes down like... well, someone shot with a couple of bomb arrows.
  • I can't do it.

which bit? The hitting him or dodging his stuff?
  • Even normal arrows. And the tonnes of lightning arrows that you should have at that point.
