I was wondering how the top drivers were 20 seconds faster so I loaded one of their ghosts up and tried to keep up.
Also this car only has three gears so if anyone wants to try manual shifting out (its much quicker plus down shifting into corners really helps control your drift) this would be a good one to start with.
Week 4 Rivals:
Yarra Valley: Rolling Meadows Circuit
Class: S2
I like this track, fast all tarmac circuit with nice elevation changes, pick a car that suits.
Current global top ten times set by following cars Regera 16, Ultima 1020 (good luck using that one!), Dodge Viper 08, Pagani Zonda C.
I've put quite a bit into this weeks to try and get top ten but still six seconds behind first place which seems crazy. You're still comfortably second Elf. Are you using the short cut?
Had a little bash at River Run, left it too late as per. I'm not raving. Like the race, like the car, but the terrain is too inconsistent for a TT, your time often at the mercy of luck rather than skill. I think it might be slightly broken in that you shouldn't really be able to hit the speedboats yet on that bend before the shortcut, I regular found I was finding the side of the last boat, which doesn't flag you but fucks your momentum. The new trial looks more promising though.

Meh, coulda gone faster, was ahead of Eric's ghost on one run going into the last quarter and a fucking curb broke my traction and I grazed a barrier, stupid random track.

I gave up on it and have been putting my efforts into the new one. 49.9 seconds, 56th in the world. I reckon I could take a second out of that with more practice so some of you are going to be getting pretty close to no. 1.
Yeah, regera. A bit of tweaking to my tune should help a little too. I'm confident of knocking .5 off with tuning alone, but it's difficult to nail a perfect lap.
You need to select the course through the rivals section then when you are about to pick your S2 car class press Y and it will let you choose who's ghost you want to race. I think by pressing X you get to filter the leader boards to Global, Friends, Club members.
I don't think you can view replays unless someone posts a video.

Had a go last night, it's a pretty sweet course for S2. One turn seems to need you to use the force and just let the road and momentum take the car and another couple of blind dips need you not to brake when it really looks like you should. Could only get to within a few seconds of Elf, so there's a big gap on the leader board waiting.
I think I'm under 1s behind Goobs. Think I'm generally faster than his current best everywhere but 2nd hairpin. He blasts away from me there.
I know he can do better. His approach to that 2nd hairpin can be better, I think he gets caught out by dinks in the road. And that final long easy right (mayber) he can optimise. I can see him breaking into top 20 easy.
