Clarence Adoo was one of the UK’s top trumpeters, playing alongside artists such as Courtney Pine, before being involved in a car crash in 1995, aged 35. It left him paralysed from the shoulders down. However since playing the Headspace instrument, a wind instrument controlled by Clarence’s breath and devised by German conductor and composer Rolf Gehaar – he ‘feels like a musician again.’
