As for the handling, I'm praying that Slightly Mad Studios has ditched the Shift 2 handling model. The car wouldn't turn until the wheel hit full lock, then when it did it felt like the cars all had rear wheel steering like forklifts. Such a shame as it got so much right, except the most important thing.
Shift 2 handling did leave a lot to be desired. They excelled in a lot of other areas though, great track choice and while the AI probably wasn't any smarter than any of its rivals, there was a real thrill in seeing cars in front of you mess up.

Sounds like a trial edition, rather than a true PS+ freebie (not that I was expecting Sony to give the full game away for free) but that's not bad. Plenty of content to give you an idea of whether you'll enjoy playing the full game or not.
And if you can stomach the poor driving in this Project CARS video, it does give a good idea of its handling model too. Looks to have hopefully improved on Shift 2's massively flawed steering.
I don't know how realistic it is but turning really easily for 10 degrees then it clamming up, like in the GRID vid, isn't fun. Neither of these games are really my thing but it looks like I'll be buying CARS at some point.
