Second tutorial done after trying to get in a different plane and crashing. But then took the trusty Cessna up around NY. The scale is staggering. But even more impressive is the detail at this scale. However NY city brought my frame rate to sub 30fps on the TV. DLSS would really help here. Think I will have to tweak some settings. Take off and landing tomorrow, if I get time.
For those new to this, here is what trim is, and why you should use it -
It will make controlling the aircraft and flying level much much easier, especially on a controller. It's dead easy really, just hold Y + up/down on the dpad.
Yeah it really helps. The flying is nicely raw in the little planes. Even with the trim and yoke you can get a sort of SHM movement kicking in as sails up and dives down repeatedly if you're heavy handed. The physics is excellent. Gliders should be amazeballs, like a modern hang gliding in Pilotwings64.
Yeah it took me a moment to realise it was the mountains causing me turbulence and not just my plane having a moment. And flying close to clouds too. Really is excellent stuff.
Multiplayer looks nice too. Is there a player limit?
