Just the paypal/mastercard/visa fee to pay.
Edit: although MS do still take a cut EA Access so that may not be the case.

Maybe we'll get lucky with an indie effort.
You always mention Arcade Soccer 2 DX, and i look it up and think "ooo", but then reviews always come across as a bit of an iffy mobile port and it puts me off again. Also is there no online multiplayer?Andy wrote:I’m trying to remember if Arcade Soccer 2 DX has made up player names. You should check it out, regardless. Miles better than Kick Off Revival and 100% more available than Social Soccer or whatever the fuck it’s called.retroking1981 wrote:It would be refreshing to get an arcade style 90s footy game with fictitious teams/players. I'd disagree with that, certainly in the sense of a 'newcomer' looking to pick up and play against someone even half competent with the controls.afgavinstan wrote:The modern fifa's and pes's really aren't that hard to "learn".

I'll fight you, but we should prob take it to the footy thread since this is the deals one! But basically, i'm not saying it's impossible to learn, or that it doesn't teach new players, just that that there's a lot of knowledge needed to be a basic level competent player. A new player needs hours, not minutes, to be able to play against someone who knows what they're doing.afgavinstan wrote:Well it's definitely more accomodating now compared to say a few years ago. There's now the "trainer" mode in fifa which shows you things like where you're pointing the player and what buttons you can use in that moment, and what they do. There's also all manner of assists for player switching and tackling, and there's also even a two-button mode which simplifies it even further. Sure, they could probably do a better job letting people know about this (trainer is on by default when you start the game for the first time though, and is customisable) but it's definitely absolutely not as impenetrable as it once was.
