I don't think that clue is as definitive as you're suggesting. But we'll see I guess!

To be fair, and I said this to my friends as well who would be big Tolkien fans - I parked my existing knowlegde at the door when this series started, much like most other book to TV adaptions of great writings there are liberities been taking and changes being made here so you might as well divorce the two from one another.

With that done I must say I did enjoy the show, some of the acting and extreme timeline changes were jarring but aside from that I though the sound, sets and design of the characters were all very well done.

I thought Sauron was great, and his argument very persuasive. I don't think the dwarves and men will put up as much of a fight as Galadriel did, they'll roll over and have their bellies tickled

The dwarves were definitely the best things about this show. The dwarves and Galadriel’s armour.

The dwarves are the most relatable race in the Tolkien universe. They have more in common with us than the Middle Earth men do.

Yeah, me too - loved every minute of it. So far ahead of the new GoT it's not even funny. Highlights were all of episode 6, getting to see Moria full of dwarves and Galadriel kicking arse.
