If you write gone away in big letters and fire them back in the post box often enough a regular postman will stop delivering them and send them back himself. There's no incentive to deliver stuff if you can legitimately throw it back where it came from. Won't work if you have different posties all the time.
If i make a macro, i can then copy its code into VBA say on a new workbook if required and it will do the same thing? Obviously changing workbook names where required etc.
Im aware of how to make macros available in multiple workbooks and editing the basics, was just wondering. Have an assessment tomorrow is all.
Yeah pretty much. If it’s an macro made by excel then you can manually change cell references, these are usually written as something like “range(“a1”)” etc. in the vba code. You just need to open the vba module for the sheet you’re in by pressing shift+f11 the cut or paste wotevs.
Yeah recording as a macro is a good way to get code close to what you want. But you likely need to edit it for case where eg you do a wonky click midway through our something.
You know when you're building Ikea stuff and it's wood and there are 'rough' sides to shelves that aren't going to be visible and 'smooth' finished sides that will be visible? Is it possible to get strips of that 'smooth' finish you can apply? I've just put a bookcase up and bloody got one slat wrong way round so it showing it's rough arse. It'll be a total ballache to take down and build again as it's all nailed in, hoping I can get some strips of the finish cut and stick it on.
I started trying to rip the nails out with a hammer but by that point I'd proper twatted them in, plus made all the rest of the edges flush, would have to dismantle the entire thing. Sod it.
Just used in another thread and the absurdity stood out to me in a lightbulb moment but what the fuck does the phrase ‘a chip on your shoulder’ actually fucking mean? I literally haven’t a clue how that phrase implies that someone has a bit of an issue on something. I’m 41 and have no fucking concept on what this means or even where it’s derived from. Plz help.
A sort of annoyance to a person where the amount it annoys them, frequency it annoys them or their reaction to it could be perceived as obsessive or over the top.
"Chip on their shoulder" could be perceived as a bit more negative though. Like they are annoyed by something or someone to the extent it holds them back or others may dislike them because of their reaction to whatever it is they bare a chip for. A grievance that starts to define a personality.
Looking for an A5 photo printer. It's so my daughter can print out photos she takes on her camera without all the faff of uploading to Snapfish or whatever and waiting for them to arrive. Anyone got one or can suggest one?
Have you got a printer at home? They can usually take smaller photo paper.
If not I'd recommend looking for one you can refill the cartridges on. It costs about 5% of replacing cartridges.

Yeah, we have a printer and I guess we could use that but I was hoping to get one that she could learn to use herself by connecting her camera directly. It's not really practical for her to connect and disconnect her camera to/from the existing printer and she's five, so her camera isn't rocking wireless connection options.
I got an HP printer with an ink plan - £2 a month for up to 50pages. They send me ink carts when they see the ink level going low. You have to connect it to the wifi obvs but seems decent. I hate paying for ink.
The printers in that plan aren't cheap though - think mine was £400 or thereabouts.
It uses the HP Smart app so you can print from any device that runs the app. Think you can even print when out and about and have an internet connection - not sure how useful that is for home use though.
