19.Assassin's Creed: Odyssey - Legacy of the First Blade -12hours- 8/10-Xbox One X

Good bit of DLC this, decent storytelling, some good new characters, good enemy, and adds some more abilities and gameplay additions across the sandbox. Increased my attachment to the character and the overall story.

All within the amazing Odyssey world that I’ve still not had enough of yet....

Just did the major plot point/end of second area.

Now there's a few abilities unlocked, it's great. Arrow death animations are a bit pants though.

I bought Origins the other day and am loving it and now the season pass is £13 in the PlayStation DLC sale. Worth it?

I bought the season pass and have yet to play it. Trouble is, even Origins is so huge, the last thing it needs is more content. The DLC which introduces the new mythical creatures does look top though. Must get round to playing it one day....

Valhalla's map is a bit larger than Odyssey's.. gulp.

This comes from some guy called Julien Laferrière.. he's producing it or something? Don't know whether that makes him more reliable than what you read?

On the last bit of DLC now, Fate of Atlantis ep 3, haven’t changed my mind about how great it is, but at 100 hours I’m so glad I’m near the end...

Fair enough. The Greek one lacked any kind of focus for me so this sounds better.

The lack of focus is good for me right now, but I can tell it may annoy if I was trying to crack on. I dabble for an hour or so at a time. It's lovely for that.

Apparently five hours into AC3 (it feels like longer) and we're hopefully starting to get somewhere near it opening up and just letting me play.

First follow that guy mission didn't go well when the mark was blocked by two NPCs from going down the corridor he wanted to go to and just kept bouncing off them..

Then the character I'm escorting tells me not to use the rooftops he'll show me some tunnels.. doesn't go anywhere unless I lead us to the icon.. which is blocked by soldiers.. I go over the rooftops, he catches up and then we find the tunnels..

If i hadn't spend good money on it I'd of given up by now.

I seem to remember the reviews of that one saying that it was incredibly slow to get going.

Ac3 takes , If I remember correctly, roughly 6-8 hours to get going. There is a twist and then the real game starts.

I’m pleased the new one won’t have level restrictions on story progress

Yeah I put nearly that many in and tiny bit of fatigue

Facewon yeah 3 has aged horribly and if it wasn’t I switch I wouldn’t bother plus it plugs a gap plus I’m waiting for the origins switch port

Was reading the other day, that Odyssey is available on the Switch in Japan, via cloud streaming...anyone tried region switching, to see if it works?

Played Odyssey now for 35hrs just killed

I’m enjoying it but the missions are nearly the same and the landscape doesn’t change and isn’t very varied enough. And a bit earlier I hit a story level that I wasn’t high enough for. But I carried on killing the Cultists and went back - thank fuck your can fast travel.

Might go back to Origins as I loved that, and the locations were quite varied (as I remember)
