Another couple of episodes down and this is great - you can see the fingerprints of Dr Who, Men In Black and X Files all over it, which I dig, but I'm not sure that I like the idea of adding in an overarching backstory to explain Dirk's origins - though I guess any TV series has to have that larger background narrative to allow options for multiple seasons.djchump wrote:Watched first Ep of Dirk Gently and enjoyed it - was nice that there was a nod to the books (throwaway line about a sofa and Thor).
