So when you're playing the game your view choices include passenger seat, rear wheel and across rear bumper? Like in the video on the first page? Or are they quite obviously replay angles, like I said.

That brings back memories! I still hanker after a 3DO style game. They could have come so close with The Run but completely blew it with tiny stages, huge loading times and that ridiculous plot nonsense. I reckon I played NFS3 far more than the rest of the sequels on PS1. I was Johnny come lately to Porsche though. Didn't pick it up at launch but a few years later, but I played NFS3 until my fingers bled! To think this used to be cutting edge!

    ah right.

they said its 'the game theyv always wanted to make'.
    (they always say that though.)

i still think itll be good though, it looks fun and stunning to look at.
(we like the shinies to show what our new systems can do right)

the another one can be said about a lot of games though, forza 5 is more forza.
    killzone is more killzone.
even tit anfall is a lot like killzone 3s mp (mechs and infantry) but with added brink style free running.

i think its the new features of all these games that will make or break them,
social features on drive club, titanfall for example.

too early to judge yet for me, but id like it to be good.

  • Motorstorm wasn't popular/good enough to stick it up as a launch title again.  Safe is smart for a launch title.  Show off what the system can do to get the money from the early adopter mugs.

I would have been more interested in a Motorstorm title though.  Pacific Rim was genuinely great fun online.  Straight up sims bore me to tears.

I'm a sucker for all these things anyway, but it did look a bit more ambitious. I preferred the style as well, although I'm probably in a minority there. On a realistic note, Ubisoft doing a huge on-line racer is probably a recipe for disaster.

You probably shouldn't ever demo anything but a race in a racer. That takedown mode looked awful.

i didn't like the takedown style thing, or the style of the vehicles.

what i like about this is the arcadeyness (like burnout), every road, corner etc is a challenge to win (like burnout), it looks fun to play, (like burnout).

the crew just looked like it would bore me, id rather they had done another driver.

yeah.....I'm HOPING for good things from this title - it will at least look gorgeous on a new 4, but not fussed about a "cartoon" takedown mode for a game that looks so ultra realistic. Just be cool to hoon around a la TDU but with better graphix maaaaan!!!
