Well after hours of setup, I've managed about 15 minutes of original Gears. The files for the games are so big, even with a decent download speed (40 to 50mbps) the games take hours to download.
Just as I was heading out managed to start Forza Horizon 4, only to be told there is a 10GB update. This is patently ridiculous as I downloaded the game direct from MS. Surely they should just give you the latest version.
I've left everything downloading in the background for a few days. Hopefully it's all done when I get home.
Make sure you have auto updated enabled. I very rarely have to wait for an update now. They are usually done while the console is in standby mode for me now.
Retroarch coming to the One next year, pretty huge news for retro emulation. It will be pretty interesting to see how it works out and how you access ROMs.
Is it worth joining the Xbox insiders program, in particular the update preview bit. I quite fancied it but the mention of regular updates that could reduce functionality put me off. Anyone on here got any experience of it?
I’ll get life is strange 2. Not arsed about anything else, not even just cause 3 though I may try it with it being ‘free’ then probably delete it when I realise it’s got a shite campaign.
