I think I damaged my Vivi when I was cleaning it. Has tasted a bit nasty, like I'm using cheap PG juice or something, for the last couple of days. Know where a good place to get new heads from is? If they do decent VG juice, too, that'd be a bonus.
Also, not all the "fake" CE4s are bad, the 4 wick Innokin one I've got works perfectly well. Not as good a my Vivi, but a fine backup.
Are you sure it's damaged or does it just need the head replaced? Mine goes kind of nasty after a while.
I'd recommend Vaper One for heads, still the cheapest I've seen them for despite their postage going up to a flat rate of £1.75. I've only tried their own brand juice and can't recommend that, not sure about the other ones they sell.
Well, I was cleaning it because it was starting to taste a little bit bad and there was crap building up in the juice, but it tasted worse afterwards. If I'm honest, I think I might have burnt the wick when I was drying it.
I didn't see any on Vaper One when I looked before, but I do now. Odd.
I take it the standard Vivi and mini one take the same heads?
This Puffin stuff is nice. Stays clear for weeks in the tube, doesn't go all gummy. Nice flavour. Has lasted about 1/5th longer than the Vaperone stuff as well. Free delivery.
I think next time I'll try the pure menthol/mint rather than the tobacco/menthol taste-a-like.
Swapping the head for one of the higher resistance ones I've got lying around, I do see that the wick is heavily charred. Think I'll leave it to dry naturally, rather than being impatient, next time.
Reading around you can replace the wicks on their own, if you're that way inclined. And presumably own some tweezers, magnifying glass and a steady hand.
Just ordered some replacement ViVi Nova heads from Vaper One (let's hope they're good quality, I've heard of some shoddy knock-offs floating about). Also grabbed some juice from Pure Vape, who not only use no PG (replacing it with purified water) but also tell you the exact makeup of their juice, down to the brand of flavouring they use.
Good service again from Puffin. Ordered Saturday turned up Tuesday.
Decided to try something new so got 10ml of French Vanilla (not sure what the French bit means), and 10ml of Chewing Gum (which is "mint with a hint of fruit" rather than full on fruit). Also got 30ml of Menthol Tobacco again just in case the first two turn out to be rank.
If your battery doesn't light up when you press the button and you're getting pissed off because you think it's faulty. You may have turned it off. Ahem.
Haha. The delivery from Pure Vape arrived this morning. The email telling me it had been dispatched arrived this afternoon.
The eGo battery from them is white label, but has subtle Pure Vape branding etched into the silver band, so I guess they're reasonably confident in it's quality. Thinking about it, I'm probably being too harsh on Vaper One, nobody else has had problems with theirs and most batteries aren't Joyetech anyway. This one's definitely better, though; it's got the standard 4 air slots and 3 different colour LEDs.
Haven't tried the juice yet, but the coffee one is a somewhat terrifying black colour:
Check this out, I found a place running the exact same site software/template as Vaper One, only with a better range and cheaper prices. Plus, they can spell.
They've got Mini Vivi Novas with skirts, which look pretty nice, VG based juice (though not with the best selection of flavours) and all the bits if you want to go full rebuildable. Next kit purchase is almost certainly going to be from them.
