I've just gone through the hassle of a clean install of win10 due to dx9 games being borked after an upgrade from windows7. Tried everything, chkdsk, sfc, DISM, nothing worked.
Eventually gave up and did a clean install and everything works as it should now. Why the fuck didn't I do this sooner? Audio driver seems to have updated as well, much cleaner sound now without hissing and crackling over the subwoofer. Awesumsauce.

If it weren't for bundles, mine would be almost non-existent; I generally don't buy games normally, even when on sale, until I'm ready to play them. The Witness, for instance, I bought direct from Steam and have clocked 50+ hours on it.
The way I see it, it's worth playing the meta game of How Big Can I Make My Steam Library in order to chuck some charities a few quid.
You're not far off from a pretty decent PC. You buy a motherboard and I'll give you my i5 when I upgrade later this year. I'll be getting new RAM soon so you can have that 8gb too.
