You need to start putting the forum image tags on all these pics you're posting Raz. They just appear as links rather than images when viewed on me phone.
It's a great game, unless you fundamentally oppose to the central conceit of wandering about and exploring planets.
The multiplayer is a pointless exercise as the game and atmosphere it creates are better suited to the lone wanderer, but I suppose they promised it so it has to be added in an update.
My lols are more about how pretty much everything they make falls short of expectation.
It really is not hard to put in a character model for other players, even a hologram man would be better than a dot.
It's been £16 on Steam which is tempting but still a little too much for me to jump aboard. Think I'll wait for it to be close to a tenner, considering the flaws, and I bet I'd have some annoying performance issues.
I'm encouraged they've put faction reps and mission boards into the game. But this should've been there on day 1. Can you imagine Elite without these basic features? It'd be more of a bore fest than what it is now.
Raiziel's pics make we wanna start over again afresh. Maybe I will.

It's a good time to jump back in as the latest update is quite substantial. I'm having a great time with the game again. But then I had a great time with the game in its original incarnation, so what do I know?
Still absorbed by this. It's much improved since I originally played it, but virtually everything is still tied to the acquisition of resources. So I doubt that anyone who couldn't stand it for that reason shouldn't bother returning.
Planet Lovecraft. Absolutely loved this planet. Built a hovercraft and spent a good few hours bombing around discovering new landmarks and even managed to log all the wildlife.
This planet was very strange. Not seen anything like it before. Unfortunately it was a bit samey and there didn't seem to be any landmarks at all, so didn't stay too long.
Just reading through all the patch notes from recent updates, had no idea they'd introduced different types of ship classes! I am so back on this later!

Fuck survival mode. Have just died 20 times trying to get back to my ship. And now I'm further away than when I started! Best bit was when I realised I'd been walking in circles and had ended up back at a previous outpost as my scanner was broken and couldn't track my discovered outposts!
Desperately want to play this mode as I think it would give some urgent meaning to all the resources grind, but may have to start over already as there's nothing handy to recharge my life support. First world problems indeed.
