And the only way I see it going is a perverse situation where, at some point down the line, that kind of cash will end up going into high school level games.
I mean, it's a different culture to what we have here in Europe, that's for sure.
In related news... Zion's one serious looking forward.
The new Vince Carter, possibly.

But it's weird how Basketball encourages so much play to go through one guy like that...
Well, certain NBA teams definitely. there's different balances depending on level of comp and individual skills.
NBA rule changes certainly give offense more agency, and the extreme talent level means that individual shot making makes some iso tactics very feasable. (Harden being the extreme example.)
But it's also worth noting where the extreme iso/one man band teams are sitting in the standings.
Russ with no help is first round out.
Harden without help dies a slow death.
Bucks use similar principles, however, its 5 out and all 5 can drive.
NCAA goes a little the other way, because there's limited players who you could put that load on.
Even Euroleague needs more wrinkles than the extremes of a Trae Young to get things going.
The Lakers?
Well... It just proves your one man show theory really, doesn't it? :}
Shouldn't happen on paper though. For what little I know, I think I'd actually prefer the sound of James and Rondo to Harden and CP3 (and mostly because of James), but it's just not working out the same way...

Is it weird that I’d really enjoy the narrative of Lebron on a minor team til he retires? Somewhere to accept his actual hairline into gentile professional dotage.
