My copy came in the day after I ordered, so you might be unlucky I'm afraid ERE.
On chapter 3 for both characters now. I tend to switch back and forth after each chapter. They're technically 2 games so it's kind of weird going from one full team all levelled up, to then the other character with none of the same Yo-kai and all much lower levels.
Also I much preferred playing the girl (based in Japan), but now I'm up to the same chapter with the boy (moved to 'merica) I'm enjoying his side a lot more than I was.
The thing I'm enjoying most is that it makes you feel like you're actually playing as a kid in each town. You get a little positive 'ding' every time you press the button to cross the road and wait for the green man. When you wake up at home you can go into the bathroom and if you go to the sink it asks if you want to brush your teeth and wash your hands (I think these link to getting Yo-kai to show up after so many times or something?) The writing is really really good and there's loads of people around town you can talk to about stupid things.
Anybody know anything about Jake Hunter? My base.com pre-order has been changed to back order and they don't even have the game show up on search anymore. Has it been released yet or was there another delay?
Yay! I’m a bit sad the game was sort of passed over by many publications, and that the series itself has been painted as a ‘bad Pokemon clone’ when it’s so very different.
Still playing every morning during commute, train travel (in game) is a lot of fun, but they could be a bit better at telling you where to go sometimes. I’ve had to google locations as the locations they ask you to get to aren’t the same as the station names, so you’d have to know somehow that ‘blossom heights’ is at ‘sunshine station’ on the Fox line.
I tend to just ride my bike through areas and see if it pops up on the lower screens map. I do wonder if it’s a design choice, as one quest gives you a very non-detailed map with places to visit you’ve never been to, and no nav arrows or anything. I found it fun stumbling on random markets etc, but might be a bit much for younger kids.
I'm trying to find out it the King of Cards campaign for Shovel Knight is definitely coming to 3DS. Does anyone have a source they check for reliable release dates? Signs point to yes, but it's been delayed for ages on all formats and I'm worried they'll ditch the 3DS release. My entire SK journey has been on 3DS, but it's £11 on Switch atm and I'm trying to decide whether I need to (or want to) change formats. I don't suppose the controls are as good on Switch.
