In tangential news I'm currently considering a business proposition from my father in law where I help him buy a property with a caravan park attached....
Is this a Dad thing? My dad did the same when he moved. When my in-laws visited my parents after the wedding, my dad got the missus' dad to mow his lawn and saw it as a favour because, you know, John Deere ride-on mower. To be fair, the father-in-law seemed to love it.
It probably is a dad thing, sounds like a nice gesture there. I just asked because The Straight Story is one of my favourite films and I can't drive a car.
I played this earlier in the year and appreciated the atmosphere but found the experience frustrating, mostly for the reasons others covered previously. In terms of walking simulator games, I've previously played Dear Esther, Gone Home, Layers of Fear, The Stanley Parable and The Unfinished Swan, and have subsequently played Firewatch, Tacoma and What Remains of Edith Finch, all of which were better (the latter being my favourite so far), yet this still had amazing moments.
