Went to the final filming of the final show of the series of big narstie last night. Not gonna lie. I’ve never seen as many amazing pairs of trainers in the audience in one place in my life. Was like crepe heaven
He could've just said they came from another planet but seems keen to convince people with his bullshit pseudoscience that he knows stuff. I wouldn't trust him with my lunch. - SG
Fuck Corona but my Ultraboosts are totally dead after 9 months semi hard service. Soles totally worn, with chunks torn out of the boost. One of them developed a small hole in the knit after a couple of months, basically right where it rested against the top of the nail on my big toe, although I closed/patched that with some superglue and otherwise the uppers have been fine.
Anyway the fucking chlorophylls were on sale for 85 quid so they're up next for the work crep job after 3 consecutive boost models I'm hoping to get a bit more longevity at the expense of maximum squishy comfort. As ever a testament to Rouj's policy of waiting for the kicks you like if you aren't in a rush to own them. This is the best Jordan 3 colourway imho and I will throw down over it, so cleannnnnn.
Oh yeah, don't buy any trainers from Adidas with that boost and stretch web sole combo, if you want a shoe that you're going to wear regularly. Unless you get them on sale and/or don't care that they won't last a year.
"Let me tell you, when yung Rouj had his Senna and Mansell Scalextric, Frank was the goddamn Professor X of F1."
Yeah that's unavoidable. You have to be comfortable channelling 'children's TV presenter' a bit with these, banking on geniality and humour over anything hench or suave. I think they're going for cyberpunk bastard at the design stage but it never carries - once it's in actual meatspace the entire tone goes sideways.
"meatspace" seems fitting in this instance as it's oft been something you gravitated towards, and (imo at least) is realised within these. That said have been watching Hannibal recently so may well see flesh where it isn't
edit: public perception isn't a problem, I had some guy describe my fresh prince as ski boots last year, his loss not mine, which equally applies to my own opinion on anyone elses purchases
