Played a blinder in the respiratory physio session yesterday so the Docs have said I can go home \o/
The nurses looked relieved, god knows they’ve suffered enough.
Unending gratitude to all the amazing people at Epsom General who fixed my blocked pipes.
Lastly, a massive thank you for all the well wishes and PM’s, you guys genuinely helped the emotional side of things and eternally grateful. This place is the best.
retroking1981: Fuck this place I'm off to the pub.
Been in a lot of pain yesterday from noon. It was my third out of four sessions at the dental hospital. Root canal re-treatment on a molar. They went to town yesterday, cleaned it all out and stuffed some antibac in there for a couple of weeks. Gotta go back and then have it all filled in properly with filling.
Then it’s back to my regular dentist for an expensive crown.
I hardly ever take painkillers when I’m in pain or unwell, had to give in yesterday and today. Pain will hopefully go away soon.
3-4 hours in a dentist’s chair each time is not fun.
Ouch. I had a botched root canal that took a couple of goes to try and sort. Broken root. I ended up telling them to take the fucker out instead, wasn’t worth the faff and pain.
Echoing the others, I had a root canal once and it was not pleasant in the slightest. Dental pain is up there with the worst, hope you can tough it out with the pain killers, Elf, like the SAS say, pain is temporary, failure lasts a lifetime. I think that works here, maybe
Yeah it’s a botched one from something like 15 years ago. I still remember it. I was working in Croydon and went to a dentist local to work. He was shit. It’s that tooth which has been giving me problems for years and years and I finally got an appointment with NHS hospital!
Dental pain is fucking awful. I wouldn't even bother trying to ride it out, I take painkillers straight away and if they don't touch it get some Anbesol.
Fortunately it's been a number of years since I last had an issue.
I’ve lost track of how much paracetamol and ibuprofen I’ve taken today. I hope I don’t overdose. Had 2 tablets in middle of night last night as I woke up when Boy screamed louder than anything you’ve ever heard cos of a nightmare and I couldn’t go back to sleep because of the pain.
Best over the counter pain relief for dental problems is this....
Dissolve a couple of tablets in a small glass of water and slosh it about your mouth before swallowing.
Also, while your in the chemist, get yourself a little bottle of clove oil to rub on the area that's giving you the pain.
My sister in law is called Lisa.
A few years back she came back from the dentist saying she may get braces. She decided not to because she is a singer and it wasn't worth doing anything uneccessary.
That was a tough few days for me and my brother though as it was discussed very seriously at length.
