I've registered for a Battle.net account, I've set it all up, I hit "redeem code" and stick Jimmy's code in there, and it snaps back to the account management screen and tells me my email address is unverified. Â I re-verify it, it says congratulations, your email address is verified, I put in the code, it says your email address is unverified.
Like seriously, I did it in the right order, but when I put in the code it's back to NOT VERIFIED. Â Before I put the code in it even lets me download the WoW installer.
Wizard's have this inability to not look FAB-U-LOUS.
I've hit Act 3 on Nightmare. Have to say some of the initial shock from Nightmare is wearing off. Though still a tad more difficult than Normal Act 3. Belial had a shit-ton of health.

How dare you! My wizard looks awesome and wizardy dammit!
Oh, for anyone else running this on a macbook pro then the gfxCardStatus app is a must. It auto enables the higher performing graphics card when power is supplied to the macbook and drops it back to the lower running card when on battery. No more logging out and back in again.
Started a proper Hardcore character tonight with a mate in tow. Posh totty Demon Huntress Bubbles. Confident of doing at least normal without cocking up.
Didn't reaise that I'd have to start from Normal for every new chara I'd create. Just clocked Diablo with my 33-odd Barb and thought I would have unlocked the new difficulty from then on and it would be scaled somehow.Â
Oh well... back to clunking through Normal then with a WD or Wiz. Variety the spice and all that.Â
Thinking of putting a order  in for Torchlight too as the DRM is getting daft. This is the first day in the last 3 that I've been able to play with acceptable lag. I've never touched the Auction House as I kind of see it as gamebreaking as it is (why hunt for loot if you can just buy it all??) so the need for always online with my perfectly fine connection to Blizzards not so reliable connection is irritating. I'll have a crack with some new charas and see if the Torchlight reviews go well..
To be fair, I had the same attitude to the auction house initially. Then I started to romp through the second half of Act 3 on Nightmare and realised if I kept up with the pace of loot the game was dropping for me i'd be spending ten times the amount on gear repair than I would getting a decent weapon anyway.
I swear the game is coded to be mega fucking stingy with loot that has your class's primary stat.
Sad to hear you're still tackling with connection issues.
So if Blizzard announce Diablo 4 is coming out in 2014 and will have this same system of constant connection, would you buy it? Or has it failed/been annoying enough that you wouldn't?
I'm falling apart to songs about hips and hearts...
Haha. I'm an idiot, I know. I really liked the game, I will continue to play it for a while I imagine. The errors didn't eally make much of an impact on me, whenever it went down I usually just did something else.
I feel for the people who it did affect, and I wonder how badly it has reflected on Blizzard, or if other companies are eying it up as a viable DRM platform from now on. I think it has hit them in the face in a spectacular fashion and wouldn't be surprised if they decide it isn't worth the hassle in the future.
Trouble is, they probably don't see it as much of an issue. They probably sold an awful lot of copies, and have players on all the time, so as soon as they sort the servers out it'll be fine. However, they will have lost goodwill with a lot of players, and I'd be interested to see the number of players connecting launch week compared to 2 months in.
