If there’s something to learn for next time, perhaps it’s giving a bit more warning so people can ensure they’ve got access to the right game on the night?

DrewMerson wrote:Hair, I don’t know what time on Thursday you posted your suggestion, but I wasn’t aware of it until Friday, so I assume a fair few others weren’t either. One of the most common comments about the game while we are playing is that most folk have no time to play it outside of a Friday night, so posting your demands on Thursday wasn’t really fair on anyone with work through the day, and family to spend time with before we play.
I don’t own FH3, and I don’t find the slushy roads of FH4 particularly festive, but I didn’t put up much resistance because I was happy to do my own thing, and join the party. I’ve done it before, I thought the community aspect was more important than snowy scenery, but hey ho.
The fact that I then got invited into a game of FH5 suggests that it was too much faff at too short notice, and that playing together is what matters most. It’s not a good look to kick off because we decided to play something else while you were again late to the party, and while I usually enjoy your company and humour, it’s also not a great look for the person who participates in about two actual races a night to start dictating what everyone else is playing, and act like a petulant child about it.
If you want to host a festive race next year and put the effort into races that are a beautiful balance of vehicle and track, and gift people cars with hilarious liveries for the occasion, I’m sure you’re welcome to.
