Went down a well tonight and had an explore. Found a place where I had to light a bunch of braziers for I assume fighting something but I got bored looking for them so went back up top to continue exploring
I still need to look Messi actually, might do that later.
I'm two [5] stones off getting my sword to like +17 so might need to go mining too...
Slowly trying to put some levels into FAI now. I'm str 20, Dex 30, which is nice for my sword and ok for bow, but keen to broaden my repertoire a little.
I've got my Twin blade to +3 at the moment. Wondering whether to continue or if I'll pick up a better weapon. Is that utichanki or whatever its called worth seeking out?
I'm falling apart to songs about hips and hearts...
I've not come across it yet. I've fucked up and spread my upgrade stones too thin over a variety of weapons still on +8 and it's not cutting it in the areas I'm at now.
First phase is just boring and irritating to repeat.
Then if i dodge the ohk attacks and get her to 50% she summons a dragon or summat. I've went elsewhere now, but just dodging bosses until you're so powerful they're no challenge anymore is a mentality of the game i still can't quite get on board with.
Yeah I did need a couple of goes, and the run up didn't help either. Time I beat her she didn't have time to summon much though, she was too busy being estocked
I see Lobos is already doing SL1 runs and making it look like child's play. I think at times the summons can actually make it harder especially if you're a glass cannon because it makes it very difficult to tell what the boss will do next. I just watched him do
Spoiler:
Radhan
in one go SL1 no summons no damage. I think that might be the most bullshit fight From have ever devised.
During that fight any NPCs you summon also increase his life total as per summon rules, so it’s probably easier if you know what you’re doing to not summon people
Does that go for the NPC summons too? I tried him solo and was barely tickling him with a +16. Easily my least favourite bit of the game so far and might be the boss to make me walk away from the game like Sekiro. An option to make bosses easier wouldn't harm the game in any way. Anyone arguing against the idea is a bit dim. I can cakewalk right up to the boss in 99% of all areas of the game. I just think the balance is off with Souls games bosses and always has been. I'm all for a challenging boss but the one shot shit is just a bit much at this point. There are other ways to make a fight interesting.
You don’t need to beat him, he’s totally optional. I find him a bit rough too, wrong side of the spectacle fight monstrosity for me, but there are ways to make him easier via some lateral thinking. I appreciate that as someone who is largely unga bunga.
I appreciate there’s a fair bit of me spamming this thread but it’s kind of nice to see how many posts have come in here. I think it’s been really fun so far and I don’t think I’ve been ruined on anything yet. (Although I acknowledge some of the restraint by DS and Tempy so thanks for that).
