managed a 2nd place in online multi last night, first podium. in those little mazda f3 type machines, around suzuka f1 track in the damp (was wet for qualy). the multi is an intoxicating mix of thrill and tensions and pure frustration at the odd racer that just seems to plow you off the road....but in this case i took that particular character on the inside of 130R and then got through the chicane with a 1s lead that allowed me to pull away a big enough gap to cruise home when my tyres inevitably failed on the last lap"Like i said, context is missing."

penalties in multiplayer could do with some changes though.
appreciate it's very difficult to get the right logic, and early in a race there can be a lot of 'rubbing' where no one is particularly guilty....
but in last night's race i got a 1sec penalty for dipping a wheel on the grass after drifting wide to avoid someone (braking and losing time as i went)...meanwhile twice in the same race i was clearly punted off the track and into the wall at a hairpin by different drivers, neither of which got anywhere near a 1s pen. still, i came back to beat them both "Like i said, context is missing."

Did my first multiplayer last night. Overall it was great, everybody driving fast but avoiding collisions, there were some awesome moments. HOWEVER, one person barged me off the track at a corner, i got a 2 second penalty, they got nothing. And it then told me my safety rating had been lowered. New rivals up so I've put a time down on the ferrari FXX K one.
It's a bit lively and when doing donuts on the 2nd corner did have me questioning the sanity of no TC but stuck with it.
The cockpit view is a bit poor as you can hardly see cos of the small window and big wheel with arms in the way on corners, but I'm committed to using that view now"Like i said, context is missing."

I keep going back to the multiplayer despite getting punted off track at least once in every race.
Was racing LMP for the first time and got spun on to the grass heading to first corner, causing me to then skittle the leaders at the bend which I'm sure made me popular, though i came off worst.
Then another race closing on the leaders and car behind just went straight through me at breaking zone, spun me a couple of times and got stuck in the wall...the only race I've quit as was late in race"Like i said, context is missing."

Can you turn on Drivatar names in race? I'm convinced some of the AI is regularly brake checking me and would be interesting to see if it's the same person.

I’m liking this, and have stuck at the career mode more than on most racing games. Annoying that races have to get longer and longer though.

Finally had enough of the "Press Y to rewind" prompt and changed the difficulty to whatever the top one is, so rewinds are off and simulation damage is also now in play. Still fairly low on the driver difficulty scale though. Really enjoying this.

You can play at any difficulty Unlikely and turn the rewind on or off, you dont have to stick to the preset.Live, PSN & WiiU: Yippeekiyey

I’ve only participated in four online races. Two I was punted out into the gravel. One was relatively clean and I finished fourth having started eighth. Sent a quick apology to someone as, although I didn’t punt them off the track, I did leave my braking too late and hit them rather hard. I did slow down and let them take the place back. The other was an astonishingly clean race, where I started third and won. So, hanging up my multiplayer gloves. Finishing on top. -
The bugs and crashing to dash and it’s lack of fucking saving really starting to grind my gears
Finished super sedans after six laps of spa.
Go to try classic hot hatches - try and buy a golf GTi and the busy wheel spins and spins - restart Xbox - quick resume wheel still spins - close and restart game.
All progress lost and I have to do fucking Spa again?
