Double post.i had a massive post on the guns that's someone was asking about last night. But it has gone all Iain on my phone so I will post it another time from a comp.

I will have to get around to installing the update on this...

The only trouble there. Is never anybody on when I'm playing.  

Pablo fancies a bacon butty but realised he had no bread. 


I should be on this later in the week, Xbox is in on Monday  for repair.

Pretty sure it's maps too. Similar to BC2, you had to d/l the 'Nam expansion whether you wanted it or not.

I've not been suckered in so just the normal maps for me.

Jesus. Got settled in for a lazy day of Battlefielding, first game I play and cunts are running straight at me, bullets bouncing off them as they slash at me with a knife. Nonsense.

Add to that the fact that it's me and Pablo versus the world as our team are happy to ignore the flags and piss about on a hill in the middle of nowhere of fly about in jets and it's a quick switch off from me.

I have a police escort when I turn on the game now.

Anyway, it was alright last night, lots of one sided games and lots of losing. but yeh I had some battlefield moments too. And finally unlocked some stuff I had wanted for ages on the choppers (The TV guided missile) and the jets (rocket pods).

Onto the guns I mentioned earlier.

I always tend to rock a foregrip/ suppressor combo. The suppressor reduces accuracy slightly and also lowers damage but the foregrip will cancel out the accuracy problem and I always go for the faster firing guns so one or two more bullets to kill is not an issue. The main advantage to this set up is the fact you dont show up on the map or make a loud noise right next to someone. This is a huge advantage over any accuracy or damage lost.
I also always use a red dot sight, they give a nice large clear viewing picture, are super fast when aiming and you also get a little accuracy boost over say a 4x scope.

So these are my personal choices but I often see a lot of people using them and if I am beaten on a 50/50 it's usually to someone running a similar setup to me so...
First gun in the list is my current gun of choice for each category.

Assault
M416 - Foregrip (FG), heavy barrel, red dot sight (RDS).
Nice heavy punch to this gun with a nice steady fire rate, pretty accurate over long distance and good close up, a bit of an all rounder.

F2000 - Suppressor (SUP), RDS - no underail on this one so no mounted grenade launcher.
Incredibly fast rate of fire makes this good for CQB.

Engineer
A91 - SUP, FG, RDS.
Amazing rate of fire and accuracy make this one of the best guns in the game for me. Incredibly accurate over long distance if you bump fire it, just fire two shots at a time at distance, mid range or close just go full auto and the thing is like a hose it rapes people at close quarters. I have 22 service stars (over 2000 kills) with this one.

G53 (Karkand pack) - SUP, FG, RDS.
As above, very fast and accurate. Not quite as fast as the A91 but a good all rounder.

SG553 (Karkand pack gun) - SUP, FG, RDS.
Slower rate of fire than the other two but a decent gun with a decent punch.

Support
RPK-74M - Holo sight (1.5x mag - Think), FG, SUP.
This is a weird one, it has the lower box mag ammo cap of 45 bullets and a slow rate of fire but it is quite accurate over distance and for some reason it seems to lag pin people in place! If I open up first I usually win with this gun. Even with the smaller mag it can still kill 2-3 in one clip. I have been getting lots of joy out of this one lately. Very odd.

Sniper
L96 - Whatever scope, SUP, straight pull bolt.
All the bolt action rifles are pretty much the same 2 shot kills to the body but I prefer this one as it is incredibly accurate and has a very flat bullet trajectory.
I have also been getting a lot of kills with this on short/long maps by using the ACOG (4x) scope on it because you dont get the sniper glint from the ACOG, meaning you can get off a few shots without being seen.


With all of the classes the starting guns are not bad at all.
The US starting gun tends to be the best out of these, with the Russian ones being a bit pooh with the exception of the engineer AKS-74u.

Shotguns
All the pump actions are meant to be similar but the 870MCS is meant to have the largest damage.
I dont get on with the shotguns at all. I get dropped one shot from silly distances but it takes 2-3 close range for me to kill anyone. So i tend to go for the DAO-12 as it is a quick semi shotty.

SMGs
These can be used with any class and I did use them quite a lot levelling up some classes when I struggled with their starting guns.

PP-19 (Karkand pack) - RDS, SUP.
This is like the A91, with a incredible fire rate/accuracy but it has a massive magazine (50 rounds).

P90 - RDS, SUP.
Very fast, large mag but wild on full auto.

I should probably go back to suppressors. I didn't like how the update killed the range, but they probably do work for my play style.
