Time to start looking for the three bed inner city upgrade and rent out the old one.

There's no particular reason any of you should know this, but can anyone recommend a good and/or suggest avoidable solicitors in Glasgow? My lass is moving through in a couple of months and wants to buy a flat, of all things, so is asking about. Not a process I have any level of experience in but hey, could be exciting.

A lot of the high street estate agents offer an in-house independent solicitor. We used the guy at Slater-Hogg West End. Against the odds, he was really, really helpful. I was impressed. Didn’t expect an in-house guy at a bog-standard estate agents to be so good.
I'm feeling pretty confident about this job, to the point I'm thinking of moving closer to where it is so I'm looking for places within walking distance of Clapham Junction, I know that you Londoners think walking distance is 500 yards but I can walk further than you
Budget around £1100 a month would like something self contained, and with enough room that me and the missus can occasionally do different things in the evening without being under each others feet
Am I being unrealistic, just back in Derby I was next door to a 400 year old church, I had 4 bedrooms and fronted directly onto a park for £700 a month, so I hate London prices

It would be extremely tight on that kind of a budget.
That area of London has rocketed up in price in the past 5 years. Even more so than other areas.
Is it definitely Clapham Junction you want to be near or just South West London in general?
Places that may still be affordable and have good links to Brixton/Clapham would be Streatham, Tulse Hill, Herne Hill. Places around Tooting rail station maybe (as opposed to Tooting bec/Broadway)
I'm in Brixton now and Streatham was top of my list but to try and save £3 a day I wondered if anywhere proper close to work might be reasonable, to be honest zoopla currently says no. Seems I need to manage my expectations. Herne hill is lovely but seems to be rising in price, Tulse Hill probably worth a look though

You could probably get a 1 bed where I am for that. (Furzdown)
Options from here are...
Bus to Brixton, 20-30 minutes.
Bus to Clapham about 30 minutes
Streatham Common to Clapham Junction is 10-15 minute walk followed by the same. On the train.
You can also get to Victoria and London Bridge directly from there.
Tooting bec is 10-15 minute walk away.
Pure coincidence, but fell in love with a place in Wandsworth on Sunday, and barring signing the paperwork I now have a pretty damn gorgeous flat ready to roll for the start of the month. nearer to Earlsfield than Clapham but still just a stroll to work, and a lot quieter than Brixton Road itself
SO in short, woo fucking hoo

Hugs/good luck/well done to everyone who is, has or is about to go through this shit.
Hardest thing of my life, this last one, with buying it and it being miles from work and having a 1 year old to look after at the same time and a marriage to arrange for June, which has been called on and off a few times I'm convinced because of the stress of it.
I think the worst is over, culminating in a sofa going up two flights of stairs that it didn't want to yesterday, followed by a nice few hours of drilling and hammering things together.
