I quite enjoy these games (well, Heavy Rain anyway), but there are very few titles I'd start again after losing an 8hr save and the Cage efforts are light years away from that list.
So started this last night and am enjoying so far. Are david cage other games Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls like this game mechanics wise as well? I have both on psplus library.
It’s all pretty similar stuff, with different controls mixed with QTE stuff to progress the story. Nothing taxing, but I enjoyed some of the moral choices in this, especially when it shows you what you did compared to everyone else and on your friends list. I really fucked up a bit of the story at the end completely making a decision that no one else made and I wasn’t happy, but at least it shows you can make bad calls.
Played some more of this today. Its fantastic. The moral dilemmas, the depth to the characters. The stories. The decisions (especially when you the change your mind after pressing a button, argh!).
I cant think of many games that stay with me between plays and make me wonder what the world would be like if the ficitonal narrative was actually real. How would i treat a andriod? How would i feel about it replacing me in a manual labour low end job? Very interesting game.
