Just squeezed everything I could get out of my Aqua tuning wise to hit max BHP and min weight and won my first race in Sport mode. Did a weight reduction on the body then fitted a ballast to take the weight back onto the 1000kg limit.
Would have finished 3rd mind if it wasn't for both cars in front losing control whilst battling on a corner. Great stuff. Heart was pumping. Only disappointment was the paltry prize money.
Struggling to think of games with a bit realistic photo mode. I'm not a petrolhead by any means, but they look so kindsa funky. Not convinced I'll have the stomach for the grind, but I still feel tempted. ER keeping me too busy atm tho...
Bit more work on the GTO. Some faded paint work going on. I know it's just static, but the lighting and reflections in Scapes are stunning. Likewise in replays.
Nice pics @drumbeg. The game sure looks pretty. Who's doing the best price on this for PS5? would be nice to have something I can dip into when I don't have time for a full Elden session.
Is there an option to turn off the sparkle/glint/reflection that is waaaaay overdone?
You mean in the first shot above? You can adjust glare strength and toggle the ray traced reflections on/off, but the scene itself as well as the position of the car might be the biggest factor. There are also shitloads of camera exposure and filter options.
I don't know how they have done this Scape stuff, but they have around 2,500 locations to play with in which you can drop your car in as if it's a 3D space, then the car surface reflects light sources as if it is in that space. It's really clever and whatever they have built obviously let's them add new scenes to the mix without much effort.
Ah yeah, I know what you mean. I checked and I don't think there is a setting for that. Luckily, I don't mind it. It's only present in the PS5 version though.
